Dr. Craig Heacock – friend, local psychiatrist, and fellow runner and podcaster – is back to talk about psychedelic-assisted treatment of depression, trauma, and other concerns. We dive deep into the three main psychedelic interventions available right now: ketamine, MDMA, and psilocybin. For each intervention, we tackle the neurobiology of the substance and how it works in the brain, the ideal population(s) to benefit from the intervention, and contraindications for each intervention.
